The tower hosting the Ibis and Mercure Siam is probably one of the best located budget to mid-level hotels in Bangkok. It sits on top of the BTS National Station stop making an easy commute to and from Phaya Thai Station, served by the express train from Suvarnabhumi Airport. The lower floors are for Ibis whereas the higher ones are reserved for Mercure guests with a rooftop swimming pool overlooking the futuristic Bangkok skyline. If you are on a tight budget but do not like hostels or staying at Sukhumvit, this is a very good option. Within minutes you are at Siam Paragon, MBK and actually anywhere in town via BTS, the Skytrain.
