The City
Madrid has been a melting-pot since the Middle Ages when peoples from across Europe, Middle East and Africa passed by and left their mark. During Spain’s colonial times, influences from the four corners of the world made the city a hive of activity and ideas. Madrid is still a very cosmopolitan metropolis, and it is hard not to fall in love with its eclectic neighborhoods, world-class museums, bookshops, tascas and the boisterous and energetic madrileños.
