Museo Nacional de Antropología

Paseo de la Reforma and Avenida Grutas | Polanco

Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 7pm

The mammoth anthropology museum is one of Mexico’s greatest treasures. Almost every civilization that had blossomed in the area before the Conquistadores arrived is featured here. The sheer scale of the place is impressive, with stone heads, Aztec calendars, tombs, decorative temples and much more. With a very 1970s look, you could easily spend a whole day wandering the museum’s galleries. If you are really into history, book a guided tour, otherwise just take it all in and be impressed by how many civilizations there were.
