Cherche Midi is part of Keith McNally’s gastronomic New York empire, which includes Balthazar, in Soho, Minetta Tavern, in West Village, and Pastis, in the Meatpacking District, among others. At Cherche Midi the atmosphere is French/Mediterranean, with large displays of colorful wine bottles, mirrors and leather seats that could well be in Paris, certainement. On the menu, a wide selection of easy dishes such as the steak with pepper sauce, crispy French fries, burgers and fish and poultry. Their cheese selection is to die for, great with a glass of Port wine to finish off your meal.
