The Beekman is set in a historic building of the Financial District, where the very old and the very new of New York collide. From old churches and historic streets and buildings to the brand new One World Trade Center and the Calatrava oculus at the subway station, the area is buzzing with activity. For those who stay at the Beekman, plush rooms, a Keith McNally restaurant and extravagant architecture. This is a real New York gem, worth a visit even if you are staying far away from here. The one thing I love is to go jogging across Brooklyn Bridge in the mornings since the hotel is right in front of it.
