Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream

152 W 10th St | West Village | With other shops in Manhattan and Brooklyn | $

Daily from 8am to 12midnight (from 9am on Saturday and Sunday)

Van Leeuwen’s ice cream truck was already a fixture on the streets of New York before they decided to open the shops and sell the pints on some grocery stores. The good news is that the Van Leeuwen empire has expanded but quality has remained high on their agenda. There are many vegan recipes but the classics are present too. I love the Earl Grey Tea ice cream and try to keep it at one scoop on the cone. (flathatnews.com) But with their ever expanding menu, with milkshakes and sundaes, I really have a hard time. At the shops you can also find coffee by Toby’s Estate, Organic teas by Rishi and fresh pastries daily from Balthazar and Ovenly. Doughnut Plant on weekends!
