The School of Life

?? There is no doubt that Philosophy and Psychology can help us remain sane throughout life. Even more so during a pandemic and subsequent lockdown. This is why I absolutely love the School of Life’s YouTube channel.

The School of Life, which started in London and now has branches all over the world, is the brainchild of Alain de Botton, a genius I have been following since my 20s. He published a few books I discovered during my bookshop browsing fixes. The Art of Travel, Religion for Atheists, On Beauty and A Week at the Airport have been read with enormous pleasure and curiosity.

The online videos range from Plato to Marriage, Beauty to Fear. With over 5,5 million subscribers, no wonder they help us learn in a soft-spoken and easy way about a million different topics.
