Tokyo Totem is an awesome guide for those interested in discovering how Tokyoites live and go about their daily lives in the world’s biggest city. More than a guidebook, Tokyo Totem is a guide and a book, with stories, drawings, cartoons, interviews and much more. It is a nice way to be less tourist and more explorer. You can easily find it in bookstores in Tokyo, but I would secure a copy beforehand for delightful in-flight reading on your way to the Far East.
