Barrio Alameda is an art deco building in the leafy Alameda Central park, marking the entrance to the historic district of the city. The place has been refurbished and transformed into an entertainment center, with pubs, restaurants, shops, a hostel and a rooftop bar. Timings vary depending on the venue, but there is always something going on at Barrio Alameda. It is a great place for a michelada (beer with lemon juice) before heading into the narrow streets leading to the Zócalo.
