Do not forget to book Taverna Trilussa ahead to make sure you will get a chance to eat here. If you are planning an atmospheric dinner, mention you would like a table at the patio, under the ivy trees. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Rome, with an easy-going atmosphere, waiters that have been working there for ever and incredible Roman food served directly on the cooking pans. Everything in the menu is awesome, so do not be afraid to ask for whatever dish you fancy more. However, the amatriciana is something special! For dessert, please have their fresh ricotta with honey and you will see that heaven is closer to Taverna Trilussa than to The Vatican.
